Colour woodblock print, Folding screens for the Hisakataya Group by Ryūryūkyo Shinsai, printed in Japan around 1820. Privately published print (surimono) triptych. Each print in this triptych depicts two panels of a folding screen. From right to left, these feature plum blossoms against the moon, a poet, a palace interior, cranes flying over a beach, a landscape west of Kyoto and a woman gathering firewood. A total of six prints are known from the series, combining to create a pair of six-panel folding screens. The screens' borders carry the emblem of the Hisakataya kyōka poetry group.
