Buddhist hanging scroll (thangka) of Amitabha, Buddha of infinite light, made by an unknown artist in the 19th century, with colours on cotton in Tibet. Seated within a large circle, Amitabha is shown in his paradise, Sukhavati, with Avalokiteshvara, bodhisattva of compassion, on the left and Vajrasattva, primordial Budda and deity of purification, on the right. Also depicted within the circle are the six other bodhisattvas of Amitabha's entourage: Maitreya, Akashagarbha, Samantabhadra, Manjushri, Nivaranavishkambhin, and Kshitigarbha.
