Bound manuscript containing Henry Wooton's The Elements of Architecture (1624) followed by an incomplete English translation of Vitruvius' De architectura (30-15 BC), written and illustrated with architectural drawings by Michael Wills (active c. 1721-1777) in Ireland c. 1770. The texts are prefaced by a dedicatory letter by John de Laet to Queen Christiana of Sweden, dated Leyden, 15 May 1649. The gilt-featherwork binding is attributed to Edward Beatty (formerly known as Parliamentary Binder B), made in Dublin c. 1755.
