Mezzotint portrait on paper of Annabella (née Dives or Dyve) (c.1675-1728), Lady Howard, engraved and published by John Smith (1652-1743) in London in 1693. It is a copy of a painting by Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723). Annabella was a Maid of Honour to Princess (later Queen) Anne (1665-1714) and a friend of Sarah Churchill (1660-1744), Duchess of Marlborough. She was also a patron to playwright (and her brother-in-law) John Dryden (1631-1700), as well as composers Henry Purcell (1659-1695) and George Frideric Handel (1685-1759).
