- Papyrus fragment containing the end of a sale of a donkey and foal, written in Greek probably in the Arsinoite nome (Egypt) and dated to the late first or early second century AD. Translation: ... in cash and he will guarantee it with a complete guarantee. (Signature) I, Theogiton son of Sarapion, have sold to Didymion the donkey with its foal and I have received the price as aforesaid. I, Heron son of Sarapion, have written on his behalf as he is illiterate. Drawn up in the registry office at Apias.
