Folio from the Book of Daniel (R968), written in Greek with ink on papyrus; made in Egypt in the third century. The text follows the Septuagint, or Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible.
Ezekiel and Esther (CBL BP IX) and the Book of Daniel (CBL BP X) originally comprised a single codex of 118 folios with the texts ordered Ezekiel, Daniel (probably including the texts of Susanna and Bel), Esther. Ezekiel occupied the first half of the book and Daniel and Esther the second; each half was completed by a different scribe. This is one of eleven Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri codices acquired by Beatty in the early 1930s.
Daniel 4.22-25; 4.28-29
