Folios, ink, gold and colours on paper, illuminated double-frontispiece, opening pages of the Treasury of Secrets (Makhzan al-Asrar), usually the first book in Nizami's Khamsa, book titles in thuluth script, with Persian poetry in nasta`liq script, two folios detached from codex (CBL Per 224), Safavid Iran, c. 1555. As well as the original codex, a further two detached folios are also in the Chester Beatty collection: Per 224.7 and Per 224.21.
